Soldiers’ Angels: Volunteer for Veterans this Holiday Season

The holiday season reminds us to be thankful for what we have and inspires us to do good deeds for our friends and neighbors. Soldiers’ Angels

Driven by the motto “May No Soldier Go Unloved”, Soldiers’ Angels has been supporting military troops and their families since 2004. In 2007, the nonprofit was presented with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition. To this day, they work with volunteers to help veterans through:

Community Partnerships. Individuals, organizations, church groups, and more are encouraged to join the Community Partnerships. These year-round initiatives harness the skills, resources, and interest of volunteers. You can host collection drives, collect monetary donations, volunteer time as a group, and more. People in the restaurant industry can also donate meals to veterans and VA hospitals.
Online shopping. More than 50 percent of people do their shopping online. Soldiers’ Angels works with sites including Amazon and Slickdeals which donate a percentage of your overall sales to the organization. Why not put your purchases to a good cause?
Donate online. Time can be tight during the holidays. If you receive an end of the year bonus (or are particularly good with budgeting), we hope that you’ll consider donating funds to veterans and service members of all eras. 35 dollars will send a care package to someone on deployment. You can also provide a wounded warrior with a laptop for 800 dollars.
Adopt-a-Family. This is our favorite way that Soldiers’ Angels supports our troops. Military families deserve the best holiday season, but often live on a tight budget.
